Dalziel Joins Epstein as Sr. Project Manager
A. Epstein and Sons International, Inc. (Epstein) today announced that Lawrence (Larry) Dalziel, AIA, has joined the firm as a senior project manager and will be one of the principals of Epstein’s design and engineering team for the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center renovation and expansion. In addition to Mr. Dalziel’s Javits role, he will be leading Epstein’s business development efforts in the NYC metropolitan area.
Dalziel has more than 26 years of experience in architectural design, production, business management and construction. His project work spans a wide range of building types including mixed-use developments, multifamily, assisted care residential, corporate headquarters and urban high-rise new construction.
“Larry is an important addition to our team in New York, particularly our work on the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center,” said Michael Damore, AIA, Epstein’s Executive Managing Director and President, Architecture and Interior Design. “The Javits Center is a high-profile project requiring convention center design expertise, project management, structural engineering and M/E/P engineering services. Larry is participating at the most senior level as part of the Rogers Fowle Epstein design team to accomplish the two-phase project that will increase exhibit and meeting room space to more than 1.3 million square feet. In addition, we think Larry’s past experience in the NYC metropolitan area makes him well-positioned to help us grow our New York office. We’re pleased to welcome Larry and look forward to utilizing his talents on Javits and with our growing New York office.”
Prior to joining Epstein, Dalziel was a project manager and senior architect for K. Hovnanian Homes as leader of high-density design and product development for the Northeast Region. He developed due diligence investigations, programming, product design and production quality systems as well as managing consultant scheduling and delivery methods, budgeting and invoicing. Related experience includes project management for residential, mixed-use and corporate buildings in New York and New Jersey.
Dalziel holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Oklahoma and has additional professional development from Harvard Graduate School of Design.
