It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of one of our founders - Raymond Epstein.
Ray joined Epstein in 1939 after graduating from the University of Illinois and was influential in growing our company from a small Chicago engineering firm into the large international full-service architecture, engineering, interior design and construction corporation we are today. In 1958 Ray and his brother Sidney took over leadership of Epstein after the passing of their father Abraham. During this time period Ray served as Epstein’s Chairman and took a leading role in expanding Epstein’s presence internationally, especially in Israel and Europe. In 1983 Ray retired from Epstein and he spent the last few decades serving as community leader for Jewish Agencies throughout the United States and internationally.
We thank you Ray for your outstanding leadership and hope that we will be as successful in growing the firm as you and Sid were. You will be missed by all of us.
