For this five building complex, Epstein architects and engineers incorporated features that reduce energy consumption and are environmentally friendly and cost effective. An energy-efficient, under floor air distribution system was installed, as well as operable windows. These windows are electronically linked into the controls for heat and air. The windows eliminate energy waste by notifying the heating system when a window is opened thereby signaling for the heat/air to be shut off in that area.
