| The Village of Wilmette,
in an effort to improve the quality and efficiency of
their Public Works operations, commissioned Epstein
to provide architectural and civil engineering design
services for the expansion and renovation of their facility
at 711 Laramie Avenue. The project included the construction
of a new Employee Facilities Building, housing administrative
and engineering offices, locker rooms and lunch room/meeting
room facilities. It further included the renovation
of existing buildings for vehicle maintenance and repair
and vehicle storage. The new building faces Laramie
Avenue and serves to provide a new facade for the facility
as well as serving as an indoor connection between existing
buildings.
Epstein received a Society of American Registered Architects
(SARA) Distinguished Building Award, as well as a Divine
Detail Award and an Distinguished Building Honor Award
from the Chicago Chapter of the American Institute of
Architects for the design of this facility. |
