Epstein provided full architectural and engineering services for this 215,000 square foot multi-purpose convocation center for Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, Illinois. The facility consists of a 9,000-seat basketball arena and exhibition hall. The hall was designed to utilize retractable seating, making many configurations possible for this multi-use facility. An indoor track, concert hall function, and exhibition/show space are some of the possible uses. An additional 100,000 square feet of athletic offices, support spaces, and an auxiliary gymnasium are included in the project.
