Epstein provided M/E/P engineering services for this office build-out which included the design of a Tier II 1,200 square foot data center. The data center included a 12” raised floor, UPS with N+1 redundancy, two 16 ton A/C units, pre-action fire protection system, low impedance grounding system, and energy efficient volumetric lighting. The UPS was a 208V 3 phase 40KVA UPS scalable to 80KVA with a maintenance bypass and PDU’s capable of operation for 20 minutes in the event of a power loss. The power demands were designed at 150W/SF. This included provisions for a future 16 ton A/C unit and the expansion of the UPS. All the power for the data center was fed from its own feeder. This isolated the data center allowing for a complete shut down without disruption of power to the rest of the space.
