Epstein provided complete architectural and engineering design for the development of The Bernard Weinger Jewish Community Center in Northbrook, Illinois. The 65,000 square foot facility contains a pool, gym, classrooms, day care center and nursery school (the auditorium and museum are in a future phase). In 1999, the Society of American Registered Architects (SARA) bestowed a Design Award of Honor to Epstein for this project.
